CLASSES

BALLET

We offer ballet classes for every level of dancer. These classes are a tremendous way to relieve stress, strengthen your back and shoulders, and improve your overall posture. Ballet training helps prevent injury and improve balance, concentration, alignment, posture and more.

LYRICAL

Lyrical dance is a style of dance created by merging ballet, jazz and contemporary dance techniques. Lyrical dancing is performed to music with lyrics which inspire the movements that the choreographer feels convey the emotions in the song. Because lyrical dancing focuses on the expression of strong emotion, this style concentrates more on individual approach and expressiveness of the dancer rather than the precision of a dancer's movements.

MODERN & CONTEMPORARY

Modern & Contemporary classes are offered for every level of dancer from beginner to adult. Contemporary and Modern dance are styles of expressive dance that combine elements of several dance genres including jazz, lyrical and classical ballet styles. Contemporary dance strives to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movement, as well as stresses versatility and improvisation.

JAZZ & HIP HOP

Classical jazz dance styles have long been a staple of musical theatre productions on Broadway and in productions of all types. Modern jazz has developed beyond the theatre stage with new techniques and ideas. In these classes you will learn technique specific to many jazz styles including modern and theatrical jazz styles.

In our Hip Hop classes students will learn multiple different styles inspired by Hip Hop music including popping, tutting, locking, and other intricate movements . These classes feature styles that are high impact, fast paced, and incredibly popular in our popular culture today. Hip Hop classes are offered at every skill level.

TAP

Tap dance originated from jazz styles of dance to create a new style in which the dancer uses specific shoes to create a rhythm and sounds with their feet. The ways in which a dancer moves their feet in tap shoes across a floor creates a percussion, adding to the performance in a unique way. In our tap classes dancers will learn how to express themselves both through sound and movement.
